Privacy Policy

Last updated September 24, 2026

This is a working draft and is being reviewed by an attorney before launch.

My2AI is designed so your personal data stays on your phone. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Stored on your phone, encrypted

Conversations, email summaries, routines, trip history, location history, journals, mood notes, and photo-based stories. We cannot see this data. Optional backups go to your own Google Drive app folder, encrypted with a key only you hold.

Your location and news choices

For the free weather and news squares, we store the location you set (a ZIP code or the approximate position you share, rounded to about 10 meters) and the news topics, sources, and stories you like or hide. Weather comes from the National Weather Service and news headlines from public RSS feeds; we send them only the location's coordinates or city name, never your name or email.

Website inbox

If you connect Gmail or Outlook on my2ai.com, we store an encrypted access key so the website can show your inbox. Messages are loaded live when you open the inbox and are not saved on our server. This is separate from the inbox you set up in the phone app, which stays on your phone. You can disconnect the website inbox anytime, which deletes the key.

Talking on the website

When you talk with your AI on my2ai.com, the conversation is kept in your browser's storage on that device only. Clearing the conversation or your browser data removes it. It is not saved on our server.

Reporting an AI reply

If you report a reply as offensive, harmful, or wrong, the reply text and your note are sent to us so we can review it. This is the only time conversation content reaches our server storage, and only because you chose to send it.

Stored on our server

  • Account: name, email, password hash, two-factor settings.
  • Settings: your AI's name, what it calls you, voice and theme choices.
  • Billing: credit balance and history. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number.
  • Usage counts: which square, which action, time, tokens, and cost. Never the content of what you said or what the AI replied.
  • Devices: device ID, name, app version, and a push notification token.

How AI requests work

When you ask something, the app sends only the context needed for that answer to our server, which passes it to Anthropic's Claude API and returns the reply. We do not store the request or reply. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms and does not use API data to train models by default.

Microphone, location, and sensors

The microphone listens only after push-to-talk, after hearing your AI's name (opt-in, with a visible notification), or briefly after your AI asks a question. Wake-name detection runs on the phone. Location and sensors are processed on the phone to learn routines and drive times.

Google user data

If you connect Gmail or Google Calendar, see our Google API Limited Use disclosure.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only. See the Cookie policy.

Sharing

We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. We use service providers to run the Service: Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI), our email delivery provider, Google Firebase (push notifications), and our web host.

Retention

Raw usage rows are kept about 35 days, then combined into daily totals. Account data is kept while your account is open. Transaction records are kept as required for tax and accounting, without a link to a deleted account.

Your rights

You can export or delete your server data anytime from your dashboard. Residents of certain states have additional rights; see State privacy notices.

Children

My2AI is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
